South African Great Dishes "Melkkos"

"Melkkos" are South African Great Dishes.

Melkkos is one of my all-time favorite foods. I honestly have no idea what it's called in English, but if I had to guess, it's something along the lines of milk food. It's a dish in which the main component is milk, to which flour and butter are added.

It's a fantastic classic dish that can be enjoyed at any time of year. In the winter, give it a try; it will warm you up from the inside out! Nothing beats a bowl of "melkkos" with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on top.

I ask you everyone, what could be nicer? If you haven't tried it yet, now is the moment.

Ingredients:

1 pound flour

1 1/2 teaspoons butter (hard)

a grain of salt

2 1/2 quarts milk

Method:

1. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour. Mix in the salt a little more.

2. Bring the milk to a boil on the burner and gradually add the butter and flour mixture.

3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 5 minutes. Make frequent stirs in the mixture.

4. Garnish with cinnamon sugar and eat while it's still warm!

This dish will not leave you dissatisfied. Try to relax and enjoy yourself. You will, believe me.
