2 pound pork-and-beans (3-21 oz. cans)


1 teaspoon chili sauce


a cup of barbecue sauce


1 cup sauce (sweet and sour)


smoked sausage (1.5 lbs) (sliced into bite-size pieces)


Place all of the ingredients in a 12-inch Dutch oven. Combine all of the ingredients.


Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 30 minutes.

3 half whole chicken breasts

a quarter-cup of dry white wine or chicken broth

1 cream of chicken soup (in a can)

1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms

Season with salt and pepper.


In a crock pot, place the chicken pieces. Salt & pepper to taste. Combine the wine and the soup. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Toss in the mushrooms. Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, covered. In a 5-quart crock pot, the recipe can be doubled.

4 cans of fruit or 1 quart of fruit

nutmeg (1 tsp.)

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

2 tablespoons sugar

1 pound cake mix (white)

1 1/2 cups of water

1 1/2 cups of water

two eggs


Fill the bottom of the Dutch oven with drained fruit pieces. Spices and sugar are sprinkled on top. Combine the cake mix, water, and eggs in a mixing bowl.


Pour the liquid over the fruit mixture. Cook at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes, covered.
